Paul Mckeever transferred with Malaga Airport Transfers on 13th August 2018 along with five of his party to Torremolinos. Staying in the area La Carihuela it is the ideal place – an old seafaring neighbourhood west of the town. A good place to start a walk along the seaside can be reached by heading to plaza del Remo.
If you walk west, you’ll arrive at Puerto Marina in Benalmadena with its many bars and restaurants. If you choose the eastern route, you’ll enjoy numerous shops and restaurants in La Carihuela. You can admire la Punta or el Morro de Torremolinos, the natural monument which splits the Paseo Marítimo in two You can enjoy the other beaches until arriving at the end of Los Álamos. A pleasant and relaxing experience next to the sea.
Paul rated his accommodation a 5 (excellent) also places to eat and beach area he also gave the nightlife of La Carihuela a five. The pool area and the suitability for chidren he gave a three (average).
Pauls favourite restaurant in La Carihuela is Las Rias this restaurant serves traditional Spanish food from paella to tapas and lots of meats and fish.
His favourite bar is Pat Murphys. Pat Murphy’s shows all the main sporting events on five television screens, including Premier League and GAA football. It also shows major boxing and golfing events. Serving a wide range of ciders and lagers, including Magners, Strongbow, Budweiser, Heineken and, of course, Guinness. Pat Murphy’s has long been one of the most popular bars in the area.

Kevin Brown and five members of his party stayed at Mijas Costa area at the Club La Costa resort. Rating the accommodation a 4 (very good) and the nightlife an average score of 3. Club La Costa is Modern, fully furnished self-catering accommodation sits among exotic and lush tropical gardens, restaurants, bars with nightly entertainment programmes.On site there is a mini-market, amazing and huge swimming pools, kids’ pools and Jacuzzi pools (21 in total, 2 of which are heated!). It is said to have the best kids’ club on the coast and a fun to ride train that crosses the resorts connecting each place. Guests staying there have everything they need to relax and soak up the sun in a safe and friendly environment.
Kevin stayed mostly in the hotel complex eating at the restaurants and bars provided onsite.
